We’re thrilled to launch the Jack Grubbs Memorial Love in Action Challenge, an annual movement-based fundraiser where participants walk, run, bike, or move in any way to support Shade’s mission in Tanzania. Love in Action started in 2022, and we’re excited to launch our 5th year of action and fundraising for Shade School!
This challenge is named in honor of Jack Grubbs, Shade’s founding Board Chair, whose legacy of servant leadership, generosity, and love helped shape Shade into the vibrant community it is today. Jack believed that love requires action, and this campaign reflects that same heart. Let’s move together so children at Shade can move safely toward a brighter future.
This year, we’re rallying together to raise $40,000 to cover the construction of a new bathroom block on Shade’s campus. As our campus grows, so does our community! With 40 staff members and an expanding calendar of community events, ministry gatherings, and education opportunities, it's time to make Shade more welcoming and functional for everyone who steps through our doors.
This critical upgrade will serve our team, allow us to better host parents visiting campus, and create a more comfortable, accessible space for Community Club members and ministry guests.
